Kim Park Nelson will attend the Association of Asian American Studies annual conference at the Marriott Downtown Waterfront April 13-17. She will be appearing on two panels on Thursday April 13, “The Great Third Coast: How Teaching in the South and Midwest Challenges Asian American Studies,” a roundtable panel that will take place at 8-9:30 am in Salon I, and “Caring for Asian Adoptees: Destabilizing Adoption as the Best Option,” a paper panel that will take place at 1:00-2:30 pm in Salon H. In addition, she will attend the Critical Adoption Studies Section Meeting in the Douglas Fir room on Friday April 14 between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm. Here’s the full conference schedule.
